Firelight Community Development District
On January 10, 2025, the Eagle Creek Community Development District (established on March 29, 2023 by the Board of County Commissioners of Charlotte County, Florida, Ordinance No. 2023-012 as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities) filed a petition to amend the boundaries and change the name to Firelight Community Development District, pursuant to the Board of County Commissioners of Charlotte County, Florida, Ordinance Number 2025-002 which became effective on February 26, 2025.
Firelight CDD encompasses an area of approximately 459.01 acres entirely within Charlotte County, Florida. The land within the District is generally located southeast of Burnt Store Road and south of Zemel Road. Firelight CDD expects to plan establish, acquire, construct or reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate, and maintain additional systems and facilities.

Firelight Community Development District (formerly Eagle Creek Community Development District) is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities. Consent is hereby given to the District's Board of Supervisors to finance, fund, plan, establish, acquire, construct, reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate, and maintain systems and facilities for parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural, and educational uses, and for security, all as authorized and described by Sections 190.012(2)(a) and (2)(d), Florida Statutes (2021).
Ordinance 2025-002, which became effective on February 26, 2025, amended Ordinance No. 2023-012 (which became effective on March 29, 2023) to expand the boundaries and change the name of the Eagle Creek Community Development District.
